    BlackJack Online Rules

Blackjack is a card game that within about thirty minutes almost anyone can learn, but it takes years to become a master of the game and strategies. Over the years that blackjack has been played there have been quite a number of people who have written strategies for blackjack so that you can become a better player. Some of these systems are very complex and may take years to learn, but before you can get into any of that anyways you need to first learn the rules of blackjack. We’ll now look at the rules of the game, which by the way are very easy to learn.

The first thing you’ll need to know is how to bet which is simple. At the blackjack table each player will have a small box in front of them which is used for you to place your bets in. Typically there is a minimum bet set at every blackjack table and you should be able to see it listed somewhere on the table and if you don’t then just ask the dealer. Another thing to note here is that when you place your bet into the square make sure you put the highest valued chips on the bottom and the lowest valued chips on top.

The entire goal in blackjack is to beat the dealer and to beat the dealer you need to be closer to 21 then the dealer is without going over. When you go over 21 it’s known as busting which means you lose your bet right away, if the dealer busts and you didn’t bust then you win the bet. There are four main plays that you’ll make when playing blackjack and those are hit, stand, double down and split pairs. When you’re new to blackjack you’ll generally only use hit or stand as there the most common plays to make.

Once the bets are made by every player the dealer beginning with the person to the left of him deals out one card to everyone including himself face-up, and continues dealing another card face-up to all players with the dealer’s second card being face down. After all the cards are dealt out the player who got the first card will need to act first. If this is you then you’ll need to see what your hand total is and decide if you want to hit or stand. Typically a good strategy is to stand with 17+ and hit with anything lower unless you think the dealer is going to bust. There is a lot more in depth details you need to go through for the game strategy, but that’s just a general rule of thumb. If you don’t know the card values in blackjack I’m going to list them below.

    A – 1 or 11

    K, Q, J, 10 – 10

    9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 – Equals value on card

Once all the players have played there hands the dealer will flip over there hidden second card to see there hand total. The dealer automatically needs to stick on 17 or higher and needs to hit if lower then that. So if the dealer doesn’t have 17 or higher then they need to take another card until they do or until they bust. After the dealer is done playing there hand the dealer pays the winners and takes the losers chips. It’d now be time to make the bet for the next hand.
